This workshop includes

Team members and cross-functional partners look at the same problem through very different lenses. The result:

  • Perspective gaps create unclear priorities, stalled decisions, and missed deadlines
  • Assumption-laden communication triggers costly rework and misfires
  • Polite “false harmony” buries healthy friction, slowing innovation and eroding trust

Cost to the business?

When people aren’t aligned on what matters, progress stalls, teams spin their wheels, ideas get dismissed, and critical insights get missed. This leads to wasted time, rework, and a lack of momentum.

What's missing?

A way to step back, ask better questions, and explore problems through multiple lenses.

In short, the ability to gather diverse perspectives before jumping into action.

About this workshop

Participants will learn how to ask better questions, uncover assumptions, and explore what matters to others. They will walk away with a practical tool to turn curiosity into clarity, enabling faster alignment and more effective collaboration across teams.

Skills you'll improve

Agenda

1 - Perspective Matters

A clip or case study that reveals how easily misalignment can happen when we assume others see things the same way.

2 - Shift the Lens

Through a simple visual exercise, you’ll uncover how your attention and assumptions shape the way you see problems. You’ll start to notice what you may be overlooking and why slowing down to surface different perspectives leads to better collaboration.

3 - Narrative Dialogue

We introduce a tool that helps you stay curious, ask better questions, and dig into what really matters to others. It’s a simple, repeatable way to make sense of complexity through conversation.

4 - Real-World Practice

You’ll pair up and use the tool to uncover the deeper “why” behind your partner’s hobby, practicing how to ask open, non-leading questions that surface what really matters to them. Then, you’ll shift gears and apply the same approach to a real-world challenge, gaining new insight through their perspective.

5- Reflect & Commit

You’ll pair up and use the tool to uncover the deeper “why” behind your partner’s hobby, practicing how to ask open, non-leading questions that surface what really matters to them. Then, you’ll shift gears and apply the same approach to a real-world challenge, gaining new insight through their perspective.

The program is built to be virtual first, delivering a Zoom experience like you’ve never experienced before. But individual sessions can be delivered in person.

All our programs have a minimum level of customization by our team of strategy and learning consultants. We can discuss deeper customization in our discovery calls.

We see the most success with a cross-functional audience of experienced individual contributors transitioning to leadership and new leaders.

The core challenge of leadership is not having all the answers. It’s having the right questions. This mindset is at the heart of problem-solving. We teach new and aspiring leaders how to synthesize multiple perspectives into a strategic narrative and communicate clearly to diverse stakeholders.
